The Policy applies to pistoialife.it, pistoialife.moltochic.app, and the services and features made available through Pistoia Life.

1. Data Controller

The Data Controller is:

PistoiaLife di Pietro Bonino
Via degli Angeli 23
55100 Lucca (LU)
Italy

Italian Tax Code (Codice Fiscale): BNNPTR75P18E715D

Email: info@pistoialife.it

Users may contact the Data Controller at the above email address for any question concerning this Privacy Policy or the processing of their personal data.

2. Scope of the Service

Pistoia Life is a tourism-oriented digital platform designed primarily for adult visitors interested in discovering Pistoia and its surrounding area.

The platform provides tourist information, recommendations, places of interest, accommodation, restaurants, shopping, events, itineraries, local businesses and bookable experiences offered by selected third-party partners.

Users are not currently required to create an account in order to access the platform.

3. Personal Data We May Collect

Depending on how the user interacts with Pistoia Life, we may process different categories of personal data.

Experience booking requests

When a user submits a request for an Experience, we may collect:

first and last name;
email address;
selected Experience;
selected booking date, time or time slot;
information necessary to process the request.

Users should not provide health information, allergy information, accessibility information or other sensitive personal data through Pistoia Life unless specifically requested.

Any particular requirements relating to allergies, intolerances, health, accessibility or similar circumstances should be communicated directly to the Partner providing the Experience.

Where users voluntarily subscribe to the Pistoia Life newsletter or marketing communications, their email address and information relating to their consent may be processed for this purpose.

Marketing communications are sent only where the appropriate legal requirements have been satisfied. Users may withdraw their consent and unsubscribe at any time.

Geolocation

Pistoia Life may request access to the user's location in order to provide location-related features, such as nearby places, distances, maps, directions and geographically relevant content.

Access to location data is subject to the user's permission where required.

Users may disable location permissions through their browser or device settings. Certain location-based features may consequently become unavailable or less accurate.

Technical and usage information

When users access Pistoia Life, certain technical information may be collected automatically, including, depending on the technologies enabled:

device and browser information;
operating system;
application or device identifiers;
IP-related technical information;
session and usage information;
pages and content viewed;
interactions with the service;
approximate geographical information;
diagnostic and performance information.

This information may be processed for security, technical operation, analytics and service improvement.

4. Purposes and Legal Bases of Processing

Personal data may be processed for the following purposes:

Providing requested services. Data submitted through an Experience request is processed in order to forward and manage the user's request and put the user in contact with the relevant Partner. Processing is based on taking steps at the user's request and on providing the requested service.

Communication with users. We may process contact information in order to respond to enquiries and service-related communications.

Newsletter and marketing. Where required, these communications are based on the user's consent. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

Geolocation services. Location information is used to provide features expressly requested or enabled by the user and, where required, on the basis of the user's permission or consent.

Analytics and improvement. Usage information may be processed to understand how Pistoia Life is used, improve its content and functionality and measure performance. Where applicable law requires consent for analytics technologies or storage/access on the user's device, such processing will be activated in accordance with the user's choices.

Security and legal compliance. Information may also be processed where necessary to protect the platform, prevent abuse, establish or defend legal claims and comply with applicable legal obligations.

5. Experience Requests and Disclosure to Partners

Pistoia Life acts as a promotional and information platform for Experiences offered by independent third-party Partners.

When a user submits an Experience request, the personal data necessary to manage that request, including name, surname, email address and selected booking slot, may be disclosed to the Partner responsible for providing the Experience.

The Partner may then contact the user directly by email to confirm availability, provide additional information and manage the booking.

Submitting a request through Pistoia Life does not by itself constitute confirmation of the booking.

Once personal data is received and independently processed by a Partner for its own purposes, the Partner may act as an independent data controller in accordance with its own privacy information and applicable law.

6. Payments

Pistoia Life does not currently process payments for Experiences.

Any payment relating to an Experience is made directly between the user and the Partner providing the Experience.

Payment information provided directly to a Partner or its payment service provider is therefore not collected by Pistoia Life through the Experience request process described in this Policy.

7. Google Analytics

Pistoia Life uses Google Analytics to obtain statistical information about the use of the platform.

Depending on its configuration and the user's consent choices, Google Analytics may collect information such as session statistics, interactions with pages and content, device/browser information and approximate location information.

Analytics technologies may use cookies or similar identifiers.

Where consent is legally required, non-essential analytics technologies will be subject to the user's consent choices.

8. Firebase

Pistoia Life may use services provided through Google Firebase for technical functionality, analytics, notifications, performance and/or related application services.

The exact categories of data processed depend on the Firebase services enabled within Pistoia Life.

Technical information, device or application identifiers, usage information and other data necessary to provide the enabled Firebase services may be processed.

9. Push Notifications

Pistoia Life may send push notifications to users who have enabled them.

Notifications may contain information concerning Pistoia Life, local content, events, Experiences, recommendations or other relevant updates.

Where required, notifications are sent only after the user has granted the necessary permission.

Users can disable push notifications at any time through their device, browser or application settings, as applicable.

At present, Instagram is treated as an external link rather than an embedded social feed.

When users follow an external link, the privacy practices and terms of the destination service apply.

13. GoodBarber

The Pistoia Life web application uses technology and infrastructure provided by GoodBarber.

GoodBarber may process technical and other information on behalf of Pistoia Life as a service provider/data processor in connection with the operation of the platform.

The actual data processed depends on the features and permissions enabled within the Pistoia Life application.

14. Cookies and Similar Technologies

A dedicated Cookie Policy may provide additional information about the technologies actually enabled on the platform.

15. Newsletter Service Provider

Pistoia Life may use a third-party service provider to manage newsletter subscriptions and communications.

The provider has not yet been definitively identified. This Privacy Policy will be updated when the relevant service is selected or activated where necessary.

16. Data Retention

Personal data relating to Experience booking requests is retained by Pistoia Life for up to 24 months, unless a longer period is necessary to comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Newsletter contact information is generally retained until the user withdraws consent or unsubscribes, subject to the possible retention of limited information where necessary to demonstrate compliance with legal obligations or document a previous consent or opt-out.

Technical and analytics information is retained according to the configuration and retention periods of the relevant services and applicable legal requirements.

19. User-Generated Content

Where Pistoia Life allows users to submit reviews, comments, photographs or other content, personal data contained in such submissions may be processed for publication, moderation, platform management and the prevention of inappropriate or unlawful content.

Users should avoid including unnecessary personal information about themselves or other individuals in publicly submitted content.
